AOFNMB will be officially change the term of office in July 2021, with Professor Gang Huang as the new president. Under the leadership of Professor Gang Huang, AOFNMB plans to strengthen and establish contacts in the following areas, as well as vigorously promote talent development and continuing education in Asia and Oceania.

● Close cooperation between international organizations

AOFNMB will continue to work closely with the American Society of Nuclear Medicine, The European Nuclear Medicine and the International Atomic Energy Agency, and we plan to establish a summit exchange mechanism at least once a year to promote international cooperation. In addition, we are considering actively participating in the annual conference of nuclear medicine of various countries, and provide support as much as possible, actively promote the development of nuclear medicine in various regions, and keep close contact and cooperation with each other.

●Continuing Education 

We suggest taking Fellow exam as the starting point to enhance the level of nuclear medicine education and clinical application throughout Asia. In order to adapt to the epidemic era, we are considering the establishment of an online and offline examination system, so that more nuclear medicine practitioners can improve and strengthen their business capabilities through our system.

besides the Fellow examination, we also plan to write a series of books on nuclear medicine, establish the standard of textbooks in Asian, and improve the comprehensive level of nuclear medicine practitioners. Jointly compile training materials and progress reports on nuclear medicine, and regularly compile statistics and issue development reports on nuclear medicine in Asia and the Pacific.
